She recently made history, being the first female artist to simultaneously occupy four top 10 spots on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop airplay chart. Minaj also has the most hits on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart of any female rapper in history and is #3 among all females.
She was born in Saint James,Trinidad and Tobago as Onika Tanya Maraj and first bursted onto the scenes in 2007. Her career really took off with her 2010 album, “Pink Friday” that featured the single “Your Love”, which peaked at number 14 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list. “Check it out”, “Right thru me” and “Moment for Life” were some of the singles on the album that contributed to the success of the album and it was certified as platinum in 2010 and eventually reached number-one in the United States in February 2011.
