Justin Bieber-Purpose World Tour

I’ve never been a die-hard Belieber but I did, occasionally enjoy a Bieber song. When he bursted onto the scene with “Baby” I loved his innocence and the fact that he was so darn’ cute! The song however, because of overplay, started irritating me after a while. His last album, Purpose made me a fan because of songs like “Love Yourself”, “Sorry”, “What do you mean?” and “Where are you now?” to name a few. His sound is much more mature and thus reaching a wider audience. I’ve said “fan” because I’m not a Belieber by any definition of the word; Beliebers are individuals that are obsessed with or really love Justin Bieber and everything he does. They would go to extremes to protect his name/image and often verbally attack those that dare speak ill of “The Biebs”.

He announced last year that he would bring his Purpose tour to South Africa and I was really excited. Weirdly enough, that particular morning I was listening to “Purpose” on repeat and later that day the tour was announced, coincidence much? This isn’t his first time in South Africa as his first tour was in December 2012 and it was sold out within hours. The tour is presented by Discovery in association with Big Concerts, 947, KFM, M-Net and Channel 24 and promises to be an amazing experience.

Dates and venue:

  • Johannesburg: Sunday 14th May at FNB Stadium
  • Cape Town: Wednesday 17th May at Cape Town Stadium

Tickets are available from Big Concerts and Computicket and prices start from R410 with “meet and greet” for R15000.

  1. Always thought he was a cutie, but has certainly grown into a young man now! Your review has hit it on the gears! If I lived closer I would go to his show; not only to experience just the concert but the entire vibe! Obvs going to be loads of youngsters attending but I am enjoying his ‘new’ music
