#AlwaysBounceBackSA-Neutrogena&Beauty Bulletin

As you get older you realise how important good skin care really is. My mom is 66 and doesn’t even have wrinkles but she has never used a “good” skin care regime whereas I can feel the wrinkles creeping up and I’m not even half her age. I’ve used the Neutrogena range before and I’ve been quite happy with the results so I didn’t hesitate to send in my details when Beauty Bulletin were looking for individuals to put the new Hydra Boost range to the test.

Hydro Boost Micellar water, gel cleanser and water gel moisturizer

I have normal skin but it’s dehydrated. That basically mean there’s a lack of water in the stratum corneum, which is the top layer of the skin. I’m not a fan of drinking water at all nor do I follow a healthy diet and it affects my skin overall. Bear in mind that you don’t need to have a dry skin for it to be dehydrated, oily and combination skin can be dehydrated as well. The products that I’ve received were Micellar water, water gel cleanser and a water gel moisturizer. Allow me to take you through each product, their function and price.

Hydro Boost Gel Cleanser (RSP R99.95 )

I’m a big fan of cleansers, the foamier the better. I’ve only been using it in the morning but you can use it in the evening if preferred. First wet your face, pump some cleanser in your hand and lather it onto your face. I massage it onto my skin for about 30-40 seconds before rinsing and it leaves my skin feeling soft like a baby’s bottom. There’s none of the tightness that I’ve experiences with other cleansers in the past. This one boosts hydration and leaves your skin clean and supple, to my utmost satisfaction.

Hydro Boost Micellar water (RSP R99.95)

I’m sure we’ve all heard of the wonders of Micellar water over the past year or so. I love the fact that you can incorporate this one into your skin care regime by either applying it after the cleanser, no need to rinse it off or use it on its own instead of a cleanser. If you have dry skin, you can use the Micellar water as your main cleanser and the gel one a few times a week or less. I’ve only used it twice this far for makeup removal and it worked like a bomb.Be sure to use a cotton pad as it will make removal easier, all you do is dampen the pad with a few drops of Micellar water and remove makeup or build up until the pad is clean. It will remove the makeup with ease, no need to rinse and will leave your skin feeling soft and moisturised.

Hydro Boost Water Gel (RSP R139.95)

I’m always weary when trying out a new moisturizer as my skin become inflamed or I break out. This Hydro Boost water gel left my skin feeling soft to the touch with a visible glow. It’s very lightweight but provide a long-lasting, intense boost of moisture. It absorbs instantly and a little really goes a long way. If you want a youthful radiance without the heavy feeling on your face, then this is the product for you.

My before and after:

I’ve used this range for little under a 2 weeks and I’ve definitely felt and seen the difference.

  1. Reblogged this on foodie1234site and commented:
Awesomeness! I’m thrilled that firstly I can definitely see the results of the skincare regime! However I used a Neurogenic eye cream around 10 or so years ago and it had a horrific toll on my eyes, fir approximately 3 months it looked as though I had water sacks that were hanging on my checks it was so bad so I haven’t been anywhere near their range since then! Thrilled it’s worked for you! My Grand Mother only ever used Ponds Cold Cream on her Skin and up until she passed away in 1993 she had a wrinkle free skin! There are so many options out there nowadays, it’s almost mind boggling!

    1. Thanks dear, my granny only use cold water every morning and her skin only started showing wrinkles in her late 70’s. I still apply that, with every product I use I splash my face with cold water first and I’m lucky enough to not have visible wrinkles yet. I’m sorry to hear about your Neutrogena experience but hopefully they’ve improved the formula by now 😉
