Tamia live in South Africa

There are certain artists that are synonymous with cleaning your house and Tamia is top of the list for a lot of South Africans. So many songs of hers have a special place in my heart as they helped me through heartbreak and house cleaning alike. My current favorite is Still as I recently got married and the words really resonate with me.

Usually when two people are together for a long time
Things seem to change
It’s been said nothing good lasts forever but this love gets better every day
We get all excited inside every time that we get alone
He still got love in his eyes, and I still got love in my soul

As cliche as it sounds, these are words that I would’ve written if they weren’t already in a song. When I first heard the song, I yearned for a love like the one she was singing about. Mind you, I was in high school, a regte snotkop, dealing with my first heartbreak that lasted for about a week, how easy we heal when we haven’t really loved. I was introduced to her music by my cousin and obviously, she was the first person I shared the news with and we are making plans to book seats together so we can sing our hearts out.

Acclaimed entertainment company G Twenty One Live together with Vertex Events announced that the multi-Grammy-nominated international artist Tamia will be touring the country with a three-city tour later this year.

No stranger to South Africa, the much-adored super-talented live performer will return to the country for the fourth time over the past decade.

The Canadian-born R&B singer/songwriter has released multiple albums, collaborated with several prominent international musical icons, and is well known for her philanthropic work within the music industry over the span of her career.

Kicking off her South African tour on Tuesday 4th July at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in the Mother City Cape Town, she moves onto KZN on Saturday 7th July performing at the Durban ICC and concludes the tour on Saturday 8th July at the Sunbet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria.

Limited tickets for the seated concert are available at TicketPro and range from R390 to R1490.
